CAD in Structural Engineering
In "finishing" of a project planning process the structural data needed for the construction of a building structure are generated, represented in the planning documents and are made available. The new CAD solution STRAKON 2011, comprising many innovations, deals with this process step, that is crucial for the construction of a building structure, and hence not just a secondary consideration.
For more than 25 years, a continuous customization and permanent further development of the system have contributed to the fact that STRAKON is one of the leading software programs available in the market for design, formwork and reinforcement planning. For this reason, it is not surprising that the version 2011 comes up with a large number of innovations making life much easier for the user.The well-proven drawing and planning tool STRAKON is available in the three versions STRAKONlight, STRAKONstandard and STRAKONpremium. Therefore, the user is free to decide which kind of comfort he would like to use for solving his tasks. The planning tool STRAKONcube incorporated in the software additionally facilitates working processes. It is based on an especially newly developed 3D computing engine and supports the planner in the technical 3D design of civil engineering structures.
Reinforcement planning and planning standardsA special feature of the software is the excellent support of the user in reinforcement planning. The new function ad-hoc reinforcement automates, among others, the process of embedding reinforcement in building components.
Furthermore, the user is able to decide the rules governing the automation of the reinforcement planning. Now this is, however, also possible with the modifications made in EC 2 of 2010.
Data exchangeFor every planner a good data transfer is the basis for a trouble-free workflow. The company supports its customers also in this respect. STRAKON smoothes the way for an efficient integration of external data and a quick data Datenweiterleitransmission to third parties involved in the project. Thus, the new function DWG template, e.g., allows the user to use DWG files in a comfortable way. The function publish enables the user to record the project data with just a few mouse clicks in many different formats in order to send them for example to his customer.
